Courses With Materials

Some online courses provide additional course materials such as manuals or workbooks, DVDs, CDs, videos, assignment packs, experiment kits, or maps. If your course does not appear in the above list, Courses Without Materials, then there are course materials associated with your course. To find out what specific materials come with your course, please visit www.open.uoguelph.ca/online, click on your course, and look for the Required Materials Provided heading. It is your responsibility to ensure that you obtain all required materials for your course. There are two ways to do this:

1. Pick Up In Person

Course Materials for the Winter 2012 semester will be available for pickup  in Room 010, Johnston Hall beginning Monday, December 5, 2011. Enter Johnston Hall through the south door between MacKinnon and Johnston Hall.

Hours of operation

The Centre for Open Learning and Educational Support is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.  

Extended Hours

You can pickup course materials in room 010 Johnston Hall (lower level) during regular hours of operation or during our extended hours.
The extended course pickup hours for the WINTER semester are as follows:

  • Monday, January 9th – till 6:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, January 10th – till 6:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, January 11th – till 6:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, January 12th – till 6:00 p.m.
  • Friday, January 13th – till 6:00 p.m.

2. Via Courier

If you are unable to come to campus to pick up your course materials, please fill out the online shipping form and submit it as soon as possible. If you do not fill out the online shipping form, we will assume that you are coming to the University to pick up your materials.

Shipment of WINTER 2012 course materials commences Monday, December 5, 2011. Please allow 1-3 days for delivery within Canada and up to a week for US and International shipments.

Please note that the courier company requires a signature for the delivery of packages, and only delivers Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you are not home during these hours, please give us an alternative address for the courier, such as your business address or another address where someone can sign for your materials.
