The hiring advisory committee for the Centre for Open Learning and Educational Support’s Manager, Online Program Design and Educational Development will present a candidate to the University community.
Sergeant Linda O'Toole, a student in the University of Guelph online Diploma in Equine Science program, is set to retire from the military after 41 years of dedicated service.
The Educational Leadership in Teaching Excellence (ELITE) program is designed to promote educational leadership through faculty engagement in the principles, practice and scholarship of teaching and learning in higher education. The program supports the University of Guelph’s exemplary teaching and learning community by fostering on-going professional development and engagement in the scholarship of teaching and learning, and by promoting a learner-centred approach to teaching in higher education. It has been developed to establish and support a faculty community of practice which provides mentorship and leadership in implementing scholarly approaches to teaching and learning in higher education.

Starting in September, two U of G departments that have been around for close to 20 years – the Office of Open Learning (OOL) and Teaching Support Services (TSS), will merge.
Kyle Mackie, Richard Gorrie, Jason Thompson and Janet Wolstenholme, University of Guelph, won the Desire2EXCEL Impact Award for eP Week at the University of Guelph. eP Week brings many individuals together to share ideas and use what they've learned at their institutions following the virtual conference. With multiple institutions participating, users are able to share innovative ideas amongst themselves. The event harnesses the potential of Desire2Learn ePortfolio to act as an unprecedented platform for innovation and collaboration.
